HITLER CHANGING
  EDUCATION CODE

   BERLIN, Apr. 12, (AP)—Chancel-
lor Hitler’s regime turned its at-
tention today to whipping higher
education in Germany into line.
   Resignations of   the   present
heads of universities in inevitable
under administrative changes be-
ing inaugurated.
   A new Prussian students’ code,
being made public today, abolishes
parliamentarism  and  substitutes
Nazi “leadership.” The Nazi prin-
ciple of making appointments from
above replaces popular selection
of student leaders.
The code will serve as a nation-
al model. It is based on racial
principle and   will   discriminate
against Jews and embrace Austrian
students in an all-German pro-
gram. Austrian and German stu-
dents already cooperate  in  the
Deutsche studentenschaft—German
Students’ Federation.
